About Maggie
Maggie Shipstead is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The New Republic, Tin House, VQR, American Short Fiction, Ecotone, The Best American Short Stories 2010, and elsewhere. “La Moretta,” a story published in VQR, was a 2012 National Magazine Award finalist for fiction. Seating Arrangements was a finalist for the Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize and the winner of the 2012 Dylan Thomas Prize.
